Darsena Porto Vecchio is one of the moorings for the oldest boats in Lignano Sabbiadoro, the tourist destination par excellence of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Darsena Porto Vecchio is very well connected: by car can be reached along the A4 Venice – Trieste or the A23 Tarvisio – Venice (in both cases, output Latisana), while Trenitalia stop is Latisana.
Darsena Porto Vecchio is the typical small port dedicated to tourists, but is ready for anything: there are 22 floating docks and finger, and can host all boats up to 16 meters long. There is also a technical area within the marina Porto Vecchio where, thanks to a hauling crane, cleaning and repairing boats.
he Darsena Porto Vecchio is located inside of the town of Lignano. Lignano is located 18 km from the Latisana exit on the A4 motorway Venice-Trieste and the A23 Tarvisio-Venice and 65 km from the’ airport of Ronchi dei Legionari. The Dock of the Old Harbour is accessible along the input channel for approximately 1 mile, from the beacon to light green and then turning left and along a channel marked by two posts, and bounded on the left by an artificial reef and to the right from the posts.
With a depth at the quay from 1,5 m to 2,5 m and a sandy bottom, the dock of the Old Harbour and can accommodate up to 400 boats up to 16 m of length. The Dock is formed by 22 floating pontoons equipped with special “fingers” are equipped with columns for the provision of fresh water and electricity. The access time is continuous, the docking easy, even if the input is not the best in terms of scirocco alive.
The Dock is provided with guarded parking for 180 cars, toilets and showers with hot water and offers all kinds of services and assistance: launching-hauling, area for storage covered for boats up to 8 meters, the area of outdoor storage, plant collection and purification of the residue for the cleaning of the hulls, cranes for lifting boats (max 20 tonnes), system of day and night surveillance.
Around the Darsena Porto Vecchio, you can find many hotels, restaurants, bars and other public places in the immediate vicinity you will find shops, pharmacies, first aid etc.,
To access the dock, continue along the entrance channel for about 1 mile and turn left onto a channel marked by two mooring posts, bordered on the left by an artificial cliff and to the right by mooring posts. Berthing assistance available on request. Berths are on 22 pontoons laid out from the sides of the basin and equipped with fingers. Space between the pontoons is tight and care is needed in maneuvering.
