At the heart of the Riviera di Levante beats the heart of Tigullio, Chiavari. The marina Marina Chiavari is easily accessible through road and rail or airplane with landing at Cristoforo Colombo of Genoa. The dock, which is only 5 minutes from the city center, offers 459 berths for boats from 6 to 25 m. spread over 9 2 piers and docks protected from the ballast and top wall breakwater. Available a chute with electric winch. The climate is warm and temperate.
Marina Chiavari is 5.0 NM from Portofino, 4.1 NM from the Bay of Silence in Sestri Levante, 17.0 Nm from the Cinque Terre. Cannes is 108.6 190.4 NM NM and Porto Cervo. The navigation allows you to look on the coasts and coves, beaches and steep cliffs suitable for diving. To see protected wildlife areas and the Sanctuary of Cetaceans: attention to the rules governing the moorings. At the ports of Genoa, La Spezia and Savona remain for large cruise ships.
Chiavari Marina is situated five miles SE of Rapallo on the W bank of the Entella River. It offers over 450 berths on eight pontoons for yachts up to 25 metres, but is relatively shallow, especially in the entrance. Entry and exit should never be attempted in strong onshore winds.
The long outer breakwater, oriented E-W, is visible on the approach. Entry to the marina is from due W, being careful to keep to the centre of the channel. Depths shoal quickly on the approach and the entrance itself is prone to silting. Depths can be as little as 2.5 – 3.0 metres in the entrance. Once in the marina, depths range from 3.0 to 4.5 metres.
Marina staff will assist with berthing. All berths are on laid moorings. Yachts in transit normally berth on the S quay just inside the entrance.
