Porto San Giorgio is a large, purpose-built marina situated on the Adriatic coast of Italy around 18 miles NNW of the port of San Benedetto del Tronto and 10 miles SSE of the harbour of Civitanova Marche. The marina provides 800 berths for yachts of up to 30 metres in one of the best sheltered harbours along this coast.

The marina is protected by a long breakwater oriented roughly N/S. The village behind the harbour is not very conspicuous and the marina breakwaters are the most obvious feature. Stay at least 200 metres offshore in the approach to avoid detached breakwaters that protect the beaches to N and S of the marina. The marina is entered from NNW between a line of green and red marker buoys. Depths in the entrance are around 5.0 – 5.5 metres. Entry is difficult in strong onshore winds.

Berthing assistance available (24 hrs). The marina is at the southern end of the town of Porto San Giorgio, 500 metres from the nearest shops.

Marina di Porto San Giorgio is also known as Port of Porto San Giorgio and it is hosted by Ascoli Piceno, an Italian city in the province with the same name and the region of Marche, by the Adriatic Sea. This is a historic settlement with a millenary history and its marina offers unwinding moments and plenty of leisure activities to those who are passionate about nautical activities. Tourism is well-developed in this superb location, where churches, convents, parks and gardens are everywhere and the littoral amazes through its sublime beauty. Lying between the Tronto River and the Castellano River, this area has developed a rich vegetation and superb natural areas, such as the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini, or the Parco Nazionale dei Monti dela Laga. Renaissance architectural elements, Bramantesque, Gothic and Roman elements are present in the main sights and landmarks in the city. The Palazzo dei Capitani dei Popolo, the Palazzo dell’Arengo, etc., are worth visiting sights.
