The Marina is protected by an outer North-South break-water which envelops a water mirror of more than 100.000 square meters subdivided in three basins with depths from 2.0 to 5.0 meters. The entrance to the Marina is from North. 885 berths, 70 of which reserved for transit, are distributed along:
– 13 Piers numbered from 1 to 13,
– 2 Wharfs: North and South Wharf,
– 1200 meters of Docks: North, Central, South,
– 700 meters of outer break-water.
Boats up to 28 meters long with 4.5 meters maximum draft can be hosted.
Marina diPunta ALA is also known as Porto di Punta Ala or Port of Punta Ala and it is situated in the small settlement that wears the same name which belgs to the Italian town of Castiglione della Pescaia. This marina can be found in the province of Grosseto and Tuscany region and offers the possibility of practising nautical activities and water sports. Punta Ala Marina lies just N of the headland of the same name, at the SE end of the Gulf of Follonica on the Tuscan coast of Italy. It provides a total of 893 berths for yachts up to 32 metres on 13 pontoons and associated quays. The marina lies just 15 miles due E of the island of Elba and is a regular stopping-off point for yachts arriving at the Italian coast from the island.

The Via Aurelia (E80) runs 28 km E of Punta Ala. The SP 158, eight kilometers E of the marina, links to the E80 via Follonica to the N and via the SP3 at the town of Grosseto. The train station of Follonica is 16 kilometers from the marina, with regular trains to Roma and Pisa. The airport of Pisa is 120 km away by road.
