This long, clean sandy beach is on the south of Sarımsaklı Peninsula. 8 km. south of the town, Sarimsakli beach is 7 km long and widens up to 100 metres. Along the beach, there are a number of restaurants and hotels. The beaches are great spot for swimming but only fair – weather anchorages.

The bottom is sand, affords good holding in the depths of 2 – 5 meters. The depths quickly shelve ashore.

There are markets, restaurants and cafes ashore. Most provisions can be found.

Regular transport facilities – shared taxies are available to Ayvalık.
