Aydıncık is a town and district of Mersin Province on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, 173 km (107 mi) from Mersin, 325 km (202 mi) from Antalya, 75 km west of Silifke, 52 km east of Anamur and 32 km south of Gülnar. A little further up from the Aydıncık fishermen’s shelter, there is the Soğuksu Stream that provides the fresh water supply of the town and a little cove where it flows into the sea.

Mediterranean Monk Seal live in caves of between Gemidurağı and Yelkenliada. Also 20 pairs of Island Gull (Larus audouini) of totally 40 pairs live in Yelkenliada and Küçükada.
